The Cantonal Council of the Canton of Zurich has overall supervision of ZHAW (Section 7 (1) Canton of Zurich Universities of Applied Sciences Act). The Government Council of the Canton of Zurich is responsible for its general supervision (Section 8 (1) Canton of Zurich Universities of Applied Sciences Act).
